 THE FOUNDER OF WALLS OF JERUSALEM INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY, Pastor Rasheed was born in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean Islands, but migrated to America during the early 1980’s. Pastor Rasheed was borne to Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Percival Selman. She has nine siblings. Seven sisters and two brothers, most of whom still reside in Trinidad & Tobago. She is from a long line of pastors that began with her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Robert and Sarah Selman. To whom she remains eternally grateful.

Reverend, Rasheed, met and married Kashif Rasheed on June 27^th, 1983. That marriage has endured every test of time. Pastor Rasheed always testifies that it was a prayer answered.  From that beloved union, a daughter, Aqeela was born. That daughter is now an ordained minister.

Pastor June Rasheed graduated from St. Martins Girls High school, in Trinidad and Tobago as the class valedictorian. She holds a master’s degree in English. She was the only black woman from her region, in seventy years to be given a deans transfer full scholarship. She has also, been featured, in the Who’s who of colleges. She possesses a wide array of scholarships, awards, and recognitions for her outstanding academic prowess. However, Minister Rasheed seldom speak of her academic achievements, mainly because, she says, “Although it has opened many doors and afforded her the ability to choose a career of her choice, it has never given her, the pride she acknowledges as the luminosity of the most high God Jehovah.

Pastor June, has offered many scholarships in her name. She understands, the importance of fostering and nurturing, those less fortunate an opportunity, to excel at academia.

Minister Rasheed has been featured, in the Compton bulletin and many other local newspapers for her efforts to foster the need for the African American male to go to, and stay in college, in order to achieve the ultimate prize! Pastor Rasheed has spent most of her adult life, as an educator. She began at the primary school level, and later continued her career at the college level.  Although Pastor Rasheed, has been preaching for sometime, in two thousand and six she, was formally ordained, and became the only known minister of record to have been  bestowed a proclamation, signed by the mayor of the borough of Brooklyn New York, honoring her with December 14^th, as June celebration day of that Borough, for the rest of her life.

Minister Rasheed’s passion; is to bring change, not only to the people of the Caribbean Islands; by the power, and merciful grace of the Holy Spirit but also, to mankind as a whole. Consequently, she has spent many years serving as a missionary, and regularly traveling and preaching the word of God, in that region.

Reverend Rasheed, always acknowledges her spiritual Father, the esteemed Bishop Glen Roy Jack, with the enthusiasm she has for preaching the uncompromising word of God. Pastor Jack is the shepherd of the only spiritual Baptist Cathedral in the entire Caribbean region. On any given Sunday, he ministers to thousands of his members, at St. Peters Spiritual Baptist Cathedral. Bishop Jack has a host of spiritual sons and daughters all over America and the world.

Mahatma Gandhi first coined one of Pastor Rasheed’s most famous quotes, “We must be the change we wish to see in the world”. She exemplifies that sentiment, by reaching others who are not always willing to extend her mercy. Therefore, that she can become that beacon of positive change!

Pastor Wilkins is a gifted and anointed communicator. He has the skill of making complex ideas simple to understand. He is a very effective public speaker, full of fire and zeal and enthusiasm.
